Teen Logo Designer

I’m rarely impressed when it comes to graphic and logo design, but this time it’s different. Now i know what a lot of people have been saying about this young girl, they’re saying;

So what’s the deal, she’s 16years old, and into design, who cares?

The design community care, people who are still passionate about what they do care. This girl, at 16 years old is not only designing logos at a professional level, she’s also doing everything in her power to spread the word among other teenagers, that if they want, they can do it too. So she’s not only bettering herself in all this but trying to help others, at just 16.  That’s the deal.

The girl is obviously mature for her age, although at times she may act like she’s just 16, which is ok, because she is! Her designs speak for themselves, mastering such raw talent at such a young age, she has received praise from some of the top logo designers online, she’s starting to get feature slots on many sites and all this in the past couple days when she designed and developed her first site Julie Kapral and her Teen Design Blog.

Some may argue that there are younger designers out there, some just as good as Julie, but if you take the time to look at those designers and Julie you’ll see that she has this passion like nothing I’ve seen before, not even in someone excited about what they do. It comes as natural to her and with her first paying client just a few days ago, you can tell this Teen Logo Designer is on a role, and what a role it is going to be.

Keep your eye on her, she’s going places.

T-Shirt Design Contest

What a fake contest. I was named the winner of the below fake contest and then not awarded anything, I send the contest starter a PM with my paypal ID and nothing. Some forum that is, they don’t have anyway of protecting us designers, I think it’s appalling. If they’re to hold a contest forum they should add the necessary software, take payment from end user, when winner is selected forward it to winner, take a slice of the pie, that’s how professionals do it. Not like this fake contest forum at V7N.

Recently I joined the V7N Forums. I got to know old friends and met a few new ones in a very short period of time, the community there is by far one of the friendliest I have ever been on. Although it lacks a professional presence and those with knowledge on there could probably be counted on one hand, it’s looking bright as mods and admins are gearing towards a change, a big change I have been told.

I have been reading up on some topics, although few in number some are rather informative, and then I ran into a new contest. It was a T-Shirt Design Contest and after reading the topic starters post, I decided to join and test peoples art abilities on these forums. My entry did not take time to finish and the concept pretty much hit me in the face, it was not at all hard or thought provoking, rather simple, it’s message too was direct and to the point.

The contest is still open and I’m not sure if i’ll win, so far there has been 4 or 5 design entries including mine with a few people working on it still, so who knows. I do hope I win as the prize is $300, and even though to some that’s not a lot, for me it’s a good month worth of living.

Wish me luck.

Dache screws Bolidea

Dache of dache.com has gone and screwed an entire company over, Bolidea. This is what I hate about some designers, how they think just because of a few successful projects they’re somehow immune to rules and common curtsy and free to roam the net and plagiarize any design they come across. Well Dache, shit like that does not fly by some of us and those of us that can holla at you about it will do more than that.

Below is the original Logo by Mike Erickson of LogoMotive:

RedFox

We believe the below logo was plagiarized by David Pache of Dache:

plagiarized logo by dache

As a BlackHat SEO and former security enthusiast I can promise you Dache, that unless that plagiarized logo over at ArtFox is removed, your life, and Bolidea’s will be hell, if you think it’s only a group of 10 people, think again because once this news makes it to the 5Fifths BlackHat Network, over 18thousand members will know about it, and those guys are not the friendliest group of people online, trust me.

So Dache, Bolidea, people of ArtFox, please show some fucking respect and stop stealing hard working logo designers ideas, remove the ArtFox Logo off your site and get Dache to cook up some different colored pile of crap for you, please make sure it’s original and not another plagiarized logo. This is your final public warning Dache, if the ArtFox.com logo is not removed by Tuesday, end of business day, then we’ll be forced to slip this as priority news into the networks, to Quadzilla and filter it through all the design communities online using the many contacts we have.

David Pache, we know you might think this is publicity, but trust us, we know how to spin any form of publicity, good or bad into the bloody plague, and you don’t want us doing that. So comply and remove that plagiarized logo by Tuesday or we’ll be forced to take this way beyond the logo community.
