Michael Kane, and his car console post made me think a lot about cleaning up my none existent car. I promise mike when I get my first car I will by that cool autobin car concole car trash thing, it looks great and i agree with mike, makes car seem so much cleaner.

Anyway this also gave me a logo idea for a new client of mine who is a big pain in the ass and im trying to finish the logo off as Mike asked me to take on long term contracts with him on an AMAZING new project, you will all know of it soon, it will be SO HUGE i am so honored he would let me in on it. Anyway, as for logo, this is what I came up with;

Not amazing but it first draft, tomorrow I send him finished version and hope he likes it. Client wanted a icon/logo/symbol that screams out I love Recycling. What better way than with a heart shaped recycle symbol. Unique I think and memorable. Let’s hope he likes finished version so i can focus more on the new HUGE HUGE project!

This has got to be the coolest thing i have ever seen anyone do. I now know who started this campaign, but he wishes to remain unnamed. What an amazing thing to do for cancer awareness. Spreading the word online is what we should all do, we should all chime in and spread the word of Breast Cancer Awareness!

It’s a very simple theme yet well designed and not too pinkish so guys, it’s ok to use it. I had to think about it but who cares about the color, it’s as a friend said, about the cause, about the meaning behind it. There can be no ugly design to it or color scheme, there can be no bad coding, it’s a pure very thoughtful act and that’s all there is to it.

Read a little more about it over at Design Pride. A site i know will be doing a lot of good and helping a lot of people in the future. It’s a breath of fresh air to see people who are passionate, not only for their work but issues that effect us in every day life.

I have created maybe 10 free logos so far, banners and stuff too. Why? Because MK said so! This is the thing, I know I get around 500-900 unique readers a day depending on the day of the week, most love ANYTHING that’s free, you guys would probably eat a blackhat fish if it was free. I have been working on a few blackhat fish forum templates that are optimized and designed to rock your world! The theme has a lot of new features like roll over image/name user lists, flash integrated video posting and audio posting, thanks to MK’s audio/video software.

I will be posting it on SMF as an SMF theme, I will also be posting it for free download here and hopefully I can keep a support section open for it! I need to setup a forum for users who need support with WP and Forum systems, that is on my to-do list!

I promised these blogger updates ages ago, I actually promised custom made ones but I have since been very busy, as soon as I have enough spare time I;ll fix up my custom blogger templates, wordpress ones and publish them for everyone to download for free. Here’s a great green blogger themed template! it’s a 2 column template and the psd to the header is provided to maximize customization! This is one of my favorites too!

A beautiful one column blogger theme that just makes me smile from ear to ear. I love simplicity as you all know by now, this one is just special in my books. The links, comment links and all that is found at the bottom of the template, there’s a mini nav at the top too and its all customizable.

The grungy theme, one of those fresh looking hip styled blogger themes with attitude. It’s simple, 2 column but has an artsy static feel to it. I love the colors that it comes under by default but play around with them if you like! Here’s a demo of the blogger template in action

Behold, a high maintenance bombshell of a blogger template. This once is beyond cool, it’s just super cool. Amazingly designed, again not losing it’s simplicity touch, it’s professional and definitely one of the best free blogger templates out there today.

Today I created a blackhat fish logo which was based around an origami concept. It turns out I love fish, and the black I used for the previous fish just did not fit in my books. So, I thought what if I dress up the fish in a black hat…stupid idea I know. So I got creative and this is one of the fish logos which I came up with

Then after about 20minutes i found myself back at this damn blackhat fish logo! I know, it’s contagious, see it’s even making me use big words. So after a while, again, i decided against the black, and went with a new concept, something colorful, realistic, something that stood out.

With that, I think I’ll end my blackhat fish parade, if I keep at it this logo will turn fishy in no time. From me, moni, I bif you all farewell, have a fishy day! And good luck to those checking my blog constantly to see my ranking in the sz contest!

So Black Fish designs are not that common, fish logo’s actually are not that common, i think it’s because the shape of the fish is hard to implement in a cool way. I call this design the BlackHat Fish. It’s a logo, and a concept that I think would be great as a BlackHat Blogs logo or a forums logo perhaps. Maybe I should Message QuadsZilla or Eli or someone about the concept, they might like it enough to honor me by using it as their own, maybe not!

So how did I come up with this idea, well I didn’t, it just hit me! In the face! It’s simple, concept is origamy, which to me should give the feeling of patience, simplicity, complexity too, a calm and collected logo. Creative and unique, just something out there.

I always like to flip through magazines, check out photo galleries, read ebooks, comics, anything and everything that could inspire me, it’s all about inspiration.

BlackHat Fish is, to me anyway, the process of playing with content in a way that it does not stink of spam, but is so full of shit that it knocks a bot out before it even gets crawled. Still it’s not fool proof, as there is no doubt Google is developing a way to detect the process I have just slightly described. In fact I would not be surprised whatsoever if they already have an ‘anti-algo’ to somewhat suppress the virtual mass of dupe/spam content filling up the internet and the Google index, at such a staggering rate!

In fact, if they don’t have one, they better get one soon as, to them, the problem has to be considered very dangerous. Imagine a scenario where, with the development of its revolutionary ‘relevance’ technology both in serving ads and in indexing the web as a whole, Google, now fattened from it’s billion dollar profits sits idly by and watches as it’s search engine becomes, well, irrelevant!

Not likely. But if it was to happen to the darling of today’s internet, it would be remembered as nothing short of a Shakespearean blunder on the grandest scale. We BlackHat Fish are innovators in our own right, we are the greatest.

Rarely do I have fun doing something useless, but this is an exception. Not much to say about what you’re about to lay your eyes on, something I read over at QuadsZilla’s blog that I found interesting. There’s absolutely nothing worse than those long scrolling landing pages. Those one page sites that take you hours to scroll to the bottom of, only to end up scrolling all the way back without a single clue of what it is you’re reading or trying to find. That’s bad business right there!

I have now designed a simple yet stylish, functional landing page that minimizes scroll and helps you organize your content in a way that users wont be scared to hang around on your page. I have also left a spot for ads, or possibly a newsletter form or contact/registration form.

It’s really very simple, if it looks professional, chances are users will last longer on your page. To give you an example, I was hired by www.America.edu recently to setup a quick landing page for one of their free student services, the real estate virtual assistant page. See how simple and organized it looks? What more can you want out of a landing page. This one in particular I have copyrighted, and it comes in different styles, there’s the horizontal navigation version of the design, and the vertical one. There’s also one with 2 wide columns and one with 4! Trust me, even with a 4 column theme it looks hot!

It did not take long to figure out what these clients wanted. Network security was their business, and they wanted something a little different. Something they could brand and market well. Something that would be recognizable if seen without the product/service name.

After about 7 revisions (it happens, clients can be picky but then again, they’re the clients, always right) they went with this version, although not my personal favorite, they loved it, and that’s all that matters.
