Update: There has been dozens of recent articles from designers and clients protesting about Brandstacks appalling behavior. Not only are some designers on their ripping off designs and selling them, but Brandstack is knowingly selling plagiarized work, rendering the potential buyers vulnerable to law suits or worse. Again and again, when will they learn? The now newly designed, newly named site BrandStock, no sorry that’s BrandStack… has managed to suck more than it’s predecessor, IncSpring. It’s not only made up of images, 95% of it is anyway, it also lost the few points incsprings designed had managed to scrape. Then they name it BrandStack (yes i linked to them, because I care)…excuse me while I ram my face into a blender. What were they thinking? You think the worst is over? No, you see BrandStock, or wait, is it BrandStack? Whatever it is called now, they have a logo that the owner previously bought off Incspring, the same site, try to keep up. Well that logo is just, well go look at it, please.

Incspring as we described down below looked like someone taking a dump, the new BrandStack logo has evolved, into, yes, wait for it, TOILET PAPER. Used toilet paper…They still have NOT addressed any of the issues that IncSpring had, if anything they have made matters worse.

Will this startup ever learn? I doubt it.

Bramndstock…urrr…Brandstack, give it up already.

I am so confused. One day I log on and read my favorite blogs and sites, today I wake up and half of them are gone, all redirected and none existing. I then go to check on Mike to see if everything is ok and his twitter page is gone?

I then think only place he is always on is IRC so i go on and no Mike, I ask about him and about his sites and no one knows anything. What happened? I understand Wired now owns one of mikes sites but Wired is a great guy and we’ll make the site a great one in the future) and some others have been given other sites or paid for them that Mike used to own, but even michael-kane.com is gone now?

This is very strange and wrong so if anyone knows exactly what happened please let me know. It it some sort of attack by H or what?

So Black Fish designs are not that common, fish logo’s actually are not that common, i think it’s because the shape of the fish is hard to implement in a cool way. I call this design the BlackHat Fish. It’s a logo, and a concept that I think would be great as a BlackHat Blogs logo or a forums logo perhaps. Maybe I should Message QuadsZilla or Eli or someone about the concept, they might like it enough to honor me by using it as their own, maybe not!

So how did I come up with this idea, well I didn’t, it just hit me! In the face! It’s simple, concept is origamy, which to me should give the feeling of patience, simplicity, complexity too, a calm and collected logo. Creative and unique, just something out there.

I always like to flip through magazines, check out photo galleries, read ebooks, comics, anything and everything that could inspire me, it’s all about inspiration.

Update :

BlackHat Fish is, to me anyway, the process of playing with content in a way that it does not stink of spam, but is so full of shit that it knocks a bot out before it even gets crawled. Still it’s not fool proof, as there is no doubt Google is developing a way to detect the process I have just slightly described. In fact I would not be surprised whatsoever if they already have an ‘anti-algo’ to somewhat suppress the virtual mass of dupe/spam content filling up the internet and the Google index, at such a staggering rate!

In fact, if they don’t have one, they better get one soon as, to them, the problem has to be considered very dangerous. Imagine a scenario where, with the development of its revolutionary ‘relevance’ technology both in serving ads and in indexing the web as a whole, Google, now fattened from it’s billion dollar profits sits idly by and watches as it’s search engine becomes, well, irrelevant!

Not likely. But if it was to happen to the darling of today’s internet, it would be remembered as nothing short of a Shakespearean blunder on the grandest scale. We BlackHat Fish are innovators in our own right, we are the greatest.
